Finns return to landmines

Due to the threat from Russia, Finland is set to reintroduce landmines early 2026. Anti-personnel mines are internationally seen as highly controversial: the hidden explosives continue to kill people long after wars have ended, often children. However, Finland shares a border of more than 1,300 km with Russia and has started training recruits in handling landmines.
